Digital Strategy
Marketing is no longer about broadcasting. Getting your message heard starts with listening to your customers and potential customers and then engaging them on the platform of their choice. It’s about implementing a digital strategy that grabs attention from the search engines and your target audience.
Web sites, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Blogs, YouTube, FourSquare, Yelp, Google +, Google Local Places, email campaigns and digital banner ads.
Those are tactics; the tools we use to implement your… strategy.
What’s your digital strategy?
Many of our clients come to us with a box of tactics. They have a Web site, maybe they have a Facebook account or (less often) a Twitter account. But they don’t know how to use them. They don’t know how to fit them all together and realistically, if they haven’t had the training or don’t have somebody on staff, why should they?
Without a strategy, a definitive game plan, a set of metrics by which to gauge success, your marketing plan can be like throwing a bunch of seeds into a plot of dirt and calling it a garden. Something may sprout, but it’s likely to be a poor yield that leaves you guessing at the results.
With digital marketing we look to achieve a fixed set of goals.
- Drive traffic to your Web site or place of business
- Make it easier for people to find you on the Internet by improving your Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Create, engage and grow a community of people to bring increased attention to your product and/or services
- Identify key members of your community– Citizen Influencers – who become your brand champions
- Use the various social tools to monitor what’s being said about you online and manage brand reputation
At Citizen Influencer we believe in a crawl, walk, run process that creates confidence before moving to a second step. Slow and steady wins the race, right? And besides, we’re not big fans for running any way.
A real strategy isn’t a 30-day crapshoot. It’s a plan that provides at least a 90-day to six month forecast on what’s going to be done, and the results that can be expected.
